Digital Product Creation (DPC) fuels product innovation and craft by leveraging the power of modern technologies, skillsets, tools, and talent. The Communications Manager, Apparel will play a key role in executing a strategy to drive the internal narrative of digital transformation in product creation. The successful candidate for this role is digital savvy, a storyteller, knows how to engage audiences, loves to write - and writes well, obsesses the details, is agile and has a desire to contribute to a wide variety of communications work, including communications strategy, editorial strategy and calendar, and executing large-scale global transformations.This role will partner with leadership, operations, transition management and product management to develop and implement a communications plan to support product creation capabilities within the Apparel organization. Additionally, the Communications Manager will drive integrated narrative and story-telling, will support and elevate the voice of our initiatives, and work with our key internal business partners on communications opportunities. Essential Job Functions•Assesses audiences to establish appropriate communication channels and develops content to meet different needs for DPC capability-related communications, clearly articulating “why it matters”.•Develops messaging and communications that are tailored to the audience and written in simple to understand, relatable, and authentic way.•Owns, drives and creates editorial calendar and content for Apparel DPC capabilities.•Measures effectiveness and innovates – Solicits feedback and listens to stakeholders to evaluate the communications landscape to generate user-centric updates or new approaches for enhancing communications and culture. •Develops and deploys methods for ongoing measurement of communications effectiveness and impact. Uses data and other learnings to propose, test and establish new communications channels, content and tools that support stakeholder needs and organizational goals.•Supports Communications Director in execution of communications strategy for internal project/program communications, leveraging existing internal communications platforms (Email, Meetings, Slack, etc) to build awareness/community across the program. Works with leadership to promote, create and/or curate relevant content. •Continuously challenges the messaging and channels to keep content fresh. •Acts as advisor and subject matter expert to Senior Leaders on appropriate channels and content. •Serves as a liaison with other communications teams at Nike, including proactively representing the global or business point-of-view when appropriate Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Design, Communications, Business, Sport Management or related discipline•5+ year experience in high profile Corporate Communications, Brand Communication or Marketing Communications roles supporting globally branded organizations, either agency or in house.•Excellent presentation management skills, including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote. •Ability to develop communications that engage across multiple platforms, i.e. mobile, intranet, video, newsletters, etc. •Ability to understand nuanced communications and serve as relationship manager to stakeholders across multiple business units and functions. •Exceptional writing skills combined with bias for action, flexibility and attention to detail.•Experience successfully working within a matrixed environment with large, complex change initiatives with multiple and competing priorities •Ability to work and collaborate across a large project team•Comfortable working with ambiguity and under tight deadlines•Experience in an Agile/Scaled Agile environment preferred NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
