We come to work every day to serve members and build unbreakable consumer relationships.This hands-on role will find innovative applications of cross-functional data and explore new partnerships to push our thinking forward. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where he or she is carving a new path, bringing new ideas to the table and collaborating with cross-functional merchandising, site merchandising and data & analytics teams to transform major organizational processes. A track record driving and leveraging consumer data at a retailer and identifying creative ways to apply it towards new use cases or new stakeholder groups is a must. Prior experience in merchandising, assortment/line planning or category management is preferred. Agile methodology experience required. Strong understanding of advanced analytic techniques, measuring consumer & business outcomes in a digital setting.Key responsibilities: Serve at the pace of the consumer through product, speed & relevance (Merchandising Transformation) (30%)Define and pilot product and data-led product recommendations to transform consumer-facing experiences, define and deliver against digital KPI’s 
Partner with and influence the Data and Analytics and Planning teams to identify consumer-led opportunities and build enabling capabilities
Bring new ideas to the table on how we can leverage our data and knowledge to answer questions we are not being asked, but should be thinking about
Accelerate change by deploying those capabilities in Geos and with our Global Merchandising partners in a cross-functional offense
Go beyond the information that is readily available; pull in academic learnings, industry best practices and external market trends as you develop key questions, hypotheses and analysis plans
Build deep understanding of the principles behind a data led assortment in our digital environments and help scale 
Embrace agile - grounded in continuous testing, incubation and iteration
Create unbreakable relationships by serving consumers where they are (30%)Infuse a deep understanding of our current and evolving consumer base as well as the market across all deliverables
Deep knowledge of the current retail landscape, including emerging trends, headwinds and the innovative business models that are breaking through
Pursue strategic merchandising opportunities to reach and connect with our consumer more often
Unlock consumer lifetime value as a concept supported by consumer led data insights to drive the long-term health of a business
Drive Cross Functional Alignment & Partnership (20%)Quickly build trust and partner with key stakeholders in Category, Brand, Geo Merchandising teams and across Nike Direct 
Collaborate with other business partners and analytic teams to jointly develop new approaches to merchandising and assortment decisions
Ability to manage the Nike Matrix

A deep understanding of advanced analytic techniques, particularly those that relate to measuring consumer & business outcomes in a multi-channel retail setting
Excellent project management capabilities to manage multiple workstreams and complexity; propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented way 
Communication: Clearly articulate roadmap, vision, priorities and requirements to multiple stakeholders in both written and oral formats. Gather and incorporate feedback from a diverse range of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions that drove business impact and/or improved consumer experience
Track record of being resourceful, identifying creative solutions and discovering new data sets/methodologies to answer business questions
Experience in a cross functional work environment, project management or matrix organization
Visionary and Strategic
Reduce Complexity and a tenacious problem-solver at heart
Preferred technical skills: experience with digital platforms, prior experience with analytic tools such as Adobe Analytics & predictive analytics (data modeling, machine learning, AI, deep learning algorithms and data mining)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising or related field required
