DescriptionAs the Director of Communications, Employee Experience for Nike’s Global Operations Team (GOT), you will oversee a global communications team supporting Nike’s digital transformation and workplace of the future. You'll be responsible for developing strategies to engage Nike's more than 73,000 employees. You will lead a global team of communications professionals, partner with multiple global and geography communication teams, and leverage Nike executives as well as traditional and digital platforms to strengthen experiences. This role will create and oversee strategic communications plans focused on experiences and moments that matter to inspire and engage employees. You will be accountable for all, initiatives, tools, services and programs coming from GOT with a particular emphasis on Nike Technology, Workplace Design + Connectivity and Sustainability functions. Responsibilities to include:Developing highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and experiences that engage NIKE, Inc. employees and external audiences where appropriate
Develop and support key communications strategies and content for key GOT business functions as needed
Partner with all business functions and geographies as needed to ensure smooth activation and adoption of GOT programs and activations
Help lead and oversee experiences for global workspace expansion, including activating new buildings and renovations, and championing Nike’s workplace of the future
Inspire employees with the global ecosystem of services and amenities and collaborate with strategic partners delivering future offerings
As part of a cross-functional team, develop strategy, approach and messaging, oversee stakeholder alignment, and encourage tactical implementation for workplace issues and incidents across the globe
Lead a dynamic team to create engaging employee experiences to support NIKE, Inc.'s business goals
Support global corporate communications events as needed and where appropriate
Create plans, track timelines and manage a budget. Manage internal and external approval processes where appropriate
QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR, English, Communications or related discipline
8+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications or corporate communications and/ or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations
Two additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
Management skills include high-profile communications, strategic planning, budgeting and creative solutions with experience in developing proactive, creative communications and extensive communications strategies.
Demonstrated and extensive experience writing and editing for print, multi-media formats and digital social formats
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
Preferred:Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry
Experience working on high-profile consumer brands
Demonstrated experience in working effectively at senior-level brand management and ability to provide guidance and direction to peers
