DescriptionAs NIKE’s Risk Finance Analyst you will be filling a key role on the Global Risk Finance & Claims team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative and analytic support to NIKE’s captive insurance company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NIKE, Inc. You will also support NIKE’s global risk financing programs. Renewing NIKE, Inc.’s global risk financing programs require significant undertaking, coordinating communication, and analysis of exposure details. You will be a conduit of risk exposure information gathering and aggregation from all part of the NIKE matrix across the globe.In addition, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes risk consultants, insurance brokers, insurance companies, captive managers, attorneys, accountants, actuaries, etc. As NIKE’s Risk Finance Analyst you will be accountable for delivering results within the following areas. Captive Insurance Operations:•Assist in the day-to-day operations of NIKE’s captive insurance company•Complete the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and reconciliations in support of the risk finance and captive accounts•Prepare and communicate to management, business planning, and accounting recommended budget, forecast &/or reserve adjustments needed•Work among Risk Finance & Claims team to improve captive reporting processes, quarterly reconciliation, and invoicing •Monitor claims and loss activity that impact the captive•Document and update captive process and procedures as needed•Track and monitor incoming captive premium invoices for accuracy and payment•Coordinate captive audit and actuarial reports•Schedule, prepare and support captive annual shareholder and board of directors meetingRisk Finance Operations:•Insurance Renewals – Assist in the renewal process planning and gathering of global exposure data. Support and manage individual insurance programs as needed.•Risk Finance Allocation – Prepare and provide NIKE business units with the risk finance allocation •Risk Finance Network – Communicate with the continually changing Risk Finance network of contacts across the global NIKE matrix•Certificates of Insurance (COI) – Manage Nike Stakeholders proof of insurance requests to make sure they are within NIKE COI standards. Negotiate resolution for those requests outside of NIKE COI standards.•Surety Bond Management - Supervise the bond request and payment process along with Bond Broker relationship.Metrics & Benchmarking•Build a strong partnership with the captive service providers to collect and organize benchmarking data and information for annual captive Board of Director meetings•Support the design and implementation of standard reporting and benchmarking the company's captive insurance program Team Contribution•Operate within the Global Risk Finance & Claims/Treasury team, supporting best practices in risk finance and claims to deliver on objectives •Share and transfer knowledge to provide guidance to key stakeholders, teammates and customers •Promote and maintain effective relationships and networks with stakeholders, customers, external peers, organizations, and business partners•Support Global Treasury and Nike Finance strategic imperatives and priority initiatives•Provide input to strategic planning and visioningQualifications•Entry-level professional knowledge of risk management, risk financing, captive insurance, commercial insurance and claims. Specific knowledge of property/casualty, marine, and international employee benefits is preferred. •Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in actuarial, accounting, finance, risk management, insurance, mathematics or related field•Minimum Experience: 2 years in accounting, tax, risk management, insurance, actuarial, finance, or related field•Ability to organize and manage complex workloads and projects in a vague fast paced organization•Proficent with Microsoft software business applications including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint•Good oral and written communication skills NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
