DescriptionAs our Nike Factory Stores (NFS) Merchandise Planning Director, you'll play a critical role in directly serving our consumers and delivering on our triple double strategy. You will achieve this by ensuring our NFS stores and consumers have the right product, at the right time, and in the right amounts, while delivering against retail sales, margin, and inventory plans.
You will lead the NFS merchandise planning team within Demand-Supply Management (DSM) to serve the consumer, and drive sales, margin and inventory productivity. You will partner cross-functionally with our merchandising and other retail planning teams to drive consumer centric strategies as part of a complete retail planning process. You will lead strategies at a style level focusing on consumers across categories, product types and genders, from pre-season plans, to in-season adjustments, and through post-season hind sighting. This work includes all activities related to the planning and execution of the unique NFS assortment that combines liquidation (closeout) and rebuy (made for Factory) inventory.
As a valued member of the cross functional leadership team, you will collaborate and deliver an actionable perspective on both nearer and longer-term market risks and opportunities and create support for these plans.
Additionally, you will serve as the NFS channel of business lead on ongoing collaboration and strategic initiatives that help to grow and improve the Nike Demand-Supply Management (DSM) organization cross-functionally.  Additionally, you will ensure our teams are fueled with a diverse bench of talent and champion efforts to create and maintain a talent pipeline for Nike Direct and DSM at multiple levels of professional experience. As a valued member of our global planning community, you will also create, utilize, and share ‘best practices’ on behalf of Nike globally.
Key AccountabilitiesLead merchandise planning function to serve the consumer and drive sales, margin and inventory productivity
Ensure a clean marketplace by developing plans to proactively, profitably, and responsibly liquidate excess inventory
Develop seasonal buy (inventory) and sales strategies for rebuys inclusive of style level buy plans. Leverage analytics and marketplace insights to build the depth and flow of our full assortment inclusive of liquidation and rebuy units
Optimize in-season performance through product storytelling, promotion & mark down, and assortment adjustments
Leverage quantitative and qualitative results and insights to influence future seasons
Develop and maintain a talent pipeline to serve the Nike Direct business and Retail Planning function
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications or related fields
8+ years of progressive experience in Retail, Planning, Strategy, Sales, Finance or related field
Management and leadership experience. A passion for people, and a proven leader in talent development and coaching 
Highly data driven and analytical 
Curious and self-motivated, dedicated to improving one’s self and the organization
Strong influencing skills and ability to champion complex projects both cross functionally and vertically within the organization. Interest in telling stories, both written and verbal
