DescriptionThe Global Merchandising Team creates line plans and assortments that bring innovation and inspiration to athletes* around the world. As a Merchandising Strategy Manager, you will work with the Merchandising Strategy Director and Merchandising leadership team to drive business planning, create functional strategies and identify opportunities to create value within the Merchandising function. In this role, you’ll fulfill the following responsibilities:•Support the strategic business planning process and report on weekly / monthly / quarterly results and opportunities•Partner across functions to identify, quantify and analyze opportunities to drive functional excellence•Own and drive independent strategic work streams, structuring an approach, organizing stakeholders and managing working teams•Develop high-impact presentations and communication tools to communicate strategic plans and visions across the organization•Facilitate leadership discussions that drive the functional agenda•Lead the development and ongoing management of tools and processes to execute against the strategic and business plans•Lead research and analytical work to identify, resolve and implement solutions to key business issues that ariseQualifications•A passion for Nike product and the people and process that bring it to life•Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years' work experience in management consulting, corporate strategic planning, corporate development, business development, investment banking or related fields•Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred but not required •Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and provide project management support, including managing multiple projects simultaneously •Track record of working effectively as a thought partner to senior leaders and their teams to effect change•Demonstrated ability to drive quantitative and qualitative analysis (e.g., financial modeling) and analyze research related to consumers, industries and competitors •Logical structuring and strategic problem solving skills and an ability to ramp up and pivot quickly•Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed environment and manage a diverse set of stakeholders •Can-do attitude and history of making stuff happen independently and as part of a team•Superior writing, communication, presentation skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with senior management•Proficiency in standard business software applications (e.g., Keynote, advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills) •Ability to pass a criminal background check NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
