DescriptionIf you’re the one for this role, you’ll be joining the Nike Technology organization in Logistics and Transportation.  Nike Technology brings together technology and process expertise into one streamlined, consumer- and customer-oriented team.  We deliver one-stop, integrated process and technology solutions that enable Nike, Inc.’s businesses and brands worldwide. As a Global Transportation Management (TM)Technology Director at the 10 Supply Chain company in the world, you will be fill a critical role in our overall Logistics and Operations Technology organization. You will partner with key business leaders in Global and Geography teams to help define a TM strategy and solution roadmap. You will work with several technology vendors to drive the overall assessment and selection of an industry leading Transportation Management System (TMS) to help meet Nike’s needs to serve its consumer flexibly and speed at scale. The person in this role must be able to anticipate technology and or market trends and provides guidance on their application to elevate Nike’s logistics capabilities. You will manage strong relationships with technology vendors and internal technology organizations. You will keep abreast of state-of-the-art developments through attendance at trade and professional meetings and seminars, trade shows, perusal of the literature, and use of supplementary educational activities. You will be the overall solution director and will build your team to create new and innovative solutions in TM that help deliver the E2E value. Passion for serving the consumer through technology and processes goes a long way here and we're looking for people who will bring the consumer drive mindset and evangelize that across the teams. You'll get to work alongside truly talented people and help them enhance their performance by promoting collaboration and innovation.The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and the impact technology has across the entire organization. She/he must possess a service orientation with the ability to listen and communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all levels of staff and executives across the company.As our Global Transportation Management Technology Director, you'll bring the following:Passion for Logistics, Transportation and Supply Chain and Technology processes
Ability to work through the complete technology assessment and evaluations process starting with Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP) and vendors demos and score carding
Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in industry leading Transportation Management Solutions such as but not limited to Oracle, JDA, MercuryGate, SAP TMS, BlueJay, C.H.Robinson, Transplace.
Ability to solve complex problems and take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
Thought leadership and ability to mentor on technical, architectural, design and related issues
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects to drive and deliver projects
Partner with global and geography-based business and technology leaders to drive a common and aligned agenda to deliver cutting edge TM capabilities
Experience and expertise in comprehending and driving E2E Cross capabilities alignment between Transportation and broader supply chain functions
Proven ability in developing and executing strategic plans
Ability and strong experience to lead and drive E2E High Level Design and Solutions options cross-functionally
Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
Dealing with executive level professionals to drive business outcomes
Passion and competency for mentoring, growing and developing the skills of team members

Strong technology background
Strong Experience in Transportation Management processes is required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area
A minimum of 8 years directly relevant work experience in Technology leadership roles with increasing responsibility.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business needs in Technology Solutions
Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how IT needs to support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals
Proven ability to pull a diverse group of individuals with different goals together and facilitate productive discussions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Flexible, ability to deal with ambiguity, and a demonstrated desire for continuous personal growth
Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others within the team
Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting)
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams
Ability to pass a 7-year background check
