DescriptionThe Digital Innovation Application Engineer will be developing digital content management solutions that support experiences to enrich interactions between Nike and employees. You will leverage your expertise and talent to develop digital solutions following agreed upon requirements while staying flexible to adapt to business needs and help deliver the best employee experience.You will work closely with members of our team, including Researchers and Designers, to take living prototypes and concepts into development of digital solutions through final implementation.You will be constantly interacting with experience design experts, content managers and other experienced developers to produce solutions for our employee’s digital experiences. We bring together technology and process expertise to deliver one-stop solutions that enable Nike's employees to connect, engage and collaborate. We are responsible for creating, developing and deploying seamless, tailored and inherently connected experiences through digital content and HR services. Working with our organization will be rewarding, challenging, and most definitely not be just another job.Responsibilities:• Partner with Nike HR teams to prioritize development of digital applications in a rapidly changing environment• Ability to design, develop, configure, test, and implement complex solutions and code in an AWS environment including API’s• Maintain and support CMS platform(s) used for delivering content to all employees• Solve complex problems pertaining CMS platforms and internal Nike web applications• Take lead on integration & developer work with other technologies/solutions (setting up SSO, APIs and plugins)• Consult business on various technical requests & issues, interpret customer needs, assess requirement and help identify a solution• Communicate project plans, task updates and related work with the team• Partner with prototype designers on ideation, development and testing of new features and overall solution design• Partner with Nike Technology and follow architectural direction to ensure that a consistent technical approach is utilized• Commitment to collaborate with other developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs• Troubleshoot user issues and escalated tickets on digital applicationsQualifications
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area. 2 years of additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree• Natural curiosity for innovation and web technologies with a solid understanding of digital tools, trends, and infrastructure• Passion for coaching, teaching, mentoring and learning• 3+ years of experience working with different CMS platforms like DRUPAL (v7 & v8), WordPress, Craft and Joonla and other open source technologies• 3+ years of experience with PHP, MySQL, Red Hat OS & Apache Web server• 3+ years of experience designing and developing custom applications using modern JavaScript frameworks including strong knowledge of REACT• 3+ years of experience developing API integrations with third party applications• 3+ years of experience with source code maintenance using tools such as Git and Terminal Client• In-depth knowledge to code custom modules and themes for Drupal applications• Experience with AWS technologies to administer application infrastructure highly desirable• Experience with consulting and executing complex analytics data reporting• Experience or interest working in a Lean/Agile/SAFe environment• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams• Knowledge of Moodle or Totara LMS is a plus• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Tableau is a plus• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex and results-oriented environment.
