As Manager of Supplier Management COE you will assist in designing, building, and implementing a frictionless experience for Nike employees to efficiently engage and manage our suppliers. You will work across functions (Procurement, Legal, Controlling & Business) to support our commitment of delivering a world-class enterprise management of our supplier’s risk, contracts, performance, and relationship.Responsibilities:Establish, institutionalize, and help execute best-practice risk, performance, contract and relationship management tools, processes, and policies
Delivering legal & financial third-party risk screening as well as investigating relevant operational risks that need to be incorporated
Ongoing management of risk through corporate objectives, process, and policies
Oversee development, optimization, and maintenance of supplier segmentation database
Support supply base definition, collection, and reporting of key performance metrics that drive aligned supplier improvements
Development and management of enterprise processes and templates for supplier business reviews
Support ongoing category supplier reviews and governance across organization
Design and operationalize enterprise contract data and best practices in support of relationship management policies
Work in partnership with current Source to Pay Operations & Strategic Capabilities to align efforts around, technology, risk screening, data information, spend analytics, and roles and responsibilities
Partner with category leads and procurement team to reduce complexity in supplier landscape and optimize number of strategic suppliers used
Keep abreast of developments and trend in the procurement supplier landscape, in partnership with procurement analytics consultants
Assess & Alignment of any new software that impacts suppliers, or if specific for suppliers
Partner cross functionally to determine roles and responsibilities surrounding program
Manage communication and transition management around program
Identify and automate tasks for employee productivity & cycle time optimization
Qualifications4-7 years of experience in Supplier Management, Risk Management, Performance Management and/or Procurement
Demonstrated the ability to influence and lead business transformation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership team and third-parties
Proven success in developing presentations and presenting to management and other groups
Flexibility and adaptability to effectively adapt to new scenarios and changes.
Ability to work independently to drive vision and goals
Strong knowledge of risk, contract, and relationship management policies and procedures
Strong experience in procurement processes and system integration projects
Strong process improvement knowledge (Lean, Agile, and/or Six Sigma)
Sound knowledge on metrics, performance tracking, and data integrity
Superior business and analytical skills; ability to focus on key issues and solve problems
Experience managing people and a desire to be a strong manager
Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives in a complex, global operating environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-cultural influencing skills
Ability to adapt quickly and make an impact in a rapid paced Procurement Organization
Proficiency with Microsoft applications: including advanced level Word and Excel; intermediate level PowerPoint and Project; and other data analytics tools
Experience working with ambiguity and a demonstrated self-starter
Experience and desire to manage other people
MBA is preferred
