DescriptionWe are looking for a game-changing communications and stakeholder engagement leader to oversee the development and implementation of the next chapter of Nike’s sustainability activation strategy, leveraging sport and cultural moments as well as platforms, collaborations and campaigns. As the Director of Purpose Communications & Engagement, you'll be responsible for developing communication strategies to engage the employee base as well as external audiences and stakeholders, working with a global team of communications professionals, using traditional, digital and social media platforms with a focus on creative and compelling storytelling. You will oversee employee communications for the Chief Sustainability Officer and as a strategic partner to the Sr. Director of Transparency & Engagement you will be the lead day-to-day liaison with the communications leads of many of Nike’s key external partners. This is a fast paced, highly collaborative role within a dynamic work environment. You’ll prioritize competing initiatives on a regular basis. As part of Nike’s Purpose Communications team, you’ll also embody a sense of humor and be a key contributor to shaping NIKE Inc’s integrated purpose positioning.Responsibilities to include:Developing highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and tactics that engage NIKE, Inc. employees and its stakeholders to position Nike as a purpose-driven business and leading brand in sustainability 
Develop and support key communications strategies for global platforms, alliances, coalitions and campaigns 
Oversee storytelling, energy and engagement across all Nike employees for key sustainability initiatives 
Support global corporate communications events where appropriate
Support integrated purpose initiatives and events where appropriate
Create plans, track timelines and oversee a budget. Oversee internal and external approval processes where appropriate
QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related discipline
10+ years demonstrated experience as a communications, stakeholder relations, public affairs or corporate affairs lead supporting globally branded organizations or high profile organizations.
2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
Familiar with sustainability issues, positions and trends
Engagement and stakeholder experience
Excellent influencer and writing skills; inspiring and innovative storyteller with deep expertise in writing and content creation for a variety of audiences and engagement goals, including speechwriting, presentations, digital content, media relations and events
Experience with global campaigns, with internal and external audiences
Experience communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly articulate ideas, successfully encourage differing points of view and strengthen relationships and rapport
Ability to Travel, 15-25%.
Preferred:Passion for the NIKE brand and working for a purpose-driven company
Familiarity with NIKE’s matrix, businesses, brand and operating ethos
Demonstrated experience working across cultures and geographies; ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures
