Product Creation Director, Footwear Job in Beaverton, VT

Digital Product Creation (DPC) will allow us to modernize the way we work to cultivate Team and Product Excellence and deliver to our Consumers Faster. To accomplish this, we will leverage the impact of modern technologies, skillsets, introduce new processes, resources and ways of working. We are looking for a Product Creation Product Director with experience in the Design through Manufacturing processes, particularly in Footwear. This team member must have a unique blend of product creation experience and a desire to improve/transform the product creation process leveraging digital capabilities and automation. This person must be skilled in understanding the needs of business stakeholders and quickly iterating/responding with people, process and tool solutions to change the way they operate. This person must also have a desire to elevate team members by exceptional team direction and leadership. Above all, we are looking for an team member with an aptitude and interest in creating new experiences that advance Digital Product Creation within Nike and serves the Nike strategic priority of Digital Transformation. RESPONSIBILITIES – OVERALL •Creates a vision and long-term plan for critical product(s) whose results will have a significant impact on the business. Ensures that their product strategies align with other products and with DPC goals and designs•Removes obstacles and helps the team navigate the organization to optimize success•Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the customers for their critical product(s) and applies this in developing proposals and executing changes•Accountable to grow and develop competencies and skills of team members•Promotes cross team and cross-organizational knowledge sharing through multiple forums•Elevates agile & design thinking mindset across DPCFUNCTION WITHIN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT •Ability to work in an independent fashion, resolve problems, make decisions, and communicate effectively in difficult situations.•Present work to cross-functional stakeholders and articulate design reason•Handle projects from concept to completion •Partner with cross functional stakeholders from idea to adoption and operations•Must be organized, able to act autonomously, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a exciting work environment •Ability to work well with others, a good attitude, and flexibility are a must QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Administration, or related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree•Excellent knowledge of Footwear Product Creation and/or trends for Product Creation and how digital and automation can advance that strategy, coupled with digital portfolio of past work or projects•Product Management experience; ability to set a vision, build requirements, leverage resources to deliver and manage trade-offs •Strong Communication Skills •Experience or working understanding of Process Innovation, Agile Methodology, Design Thinking•Ability to identify opportunities for applying new methods, concepts to user and organizational challenges NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
