Do you have what it takes to build a Controlling legacy at NIKE? As the Senior Treasury Accountant within NIKE’s Treasury Accounting Global Center of Excellence, you will be a key member of the team focused on the accounting for certain risk management strategies and partnering closely with the Global Treasury function. Key responsibilities include:
Implement monthly and quarterly treasury accounting activities and internal controls procedures;
Analyze treasury related financial impacts for ultimate communication to senior financial management and external constituents;
Partner closely with Global Treasury to understand risk management strategies and ensure application of proper accounting treatment;
Prepare quarterly MD&A and footnote disclosures associated with treasury accounting;
Assist in the design, testing and implementation of new automated accounting solutions; and
Research and documentation of associated technical and tactical accounting issues as needed.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance, or related field
3 years of experience in the application of US GAAP, SEC reporting, auditing or other related area, preferably with a Big 4 public accounting firm
CPA strongly preferred
Demonstrated understanding of basic finance/valuation concepts is a plus
Experience with treasury accounting is a plus
SAP or other large ERP system experience is a plus
Excellent proficiency with Excel
Demonstrated attention to detail and high standards for quality
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pass a background check
