DescriptionNike’s Global Controlling organization is currently developing and deploying an in-house department that will deliver accounting operations processes across North America and Global business units. Global Accounting Operations is a shared delivery team which will implement record-to-report and financial close functions for stakeholders across the company, helping to streamline, standardize and strengthen efficiencies. As we developthe foundation for our global operating model, we are looking for professional accountants who can support the completion of reconciliation deliverables and cultivate processing and results based on agreed upon performance metrics and client service level agreements. Our accountants will be champions of the shared delivery vision, supporting the implementation of process optimization practices while also delivering on required accounting excellence. Candidates will be well-versed in financial close processes and GAAP accounting, helping to ensure our practices are in-line with control and policy requirements. They’ll be adaptable in their ability to define new opportunities within shared delivery for enhancement while also collaborating with business partners to identify new opportunities for support. We are looking for passionate, individuals who can help be a part of establishing a critical organization for a Fortune 500 multinational organization.Ensures work output and quality of the services meet stakeholder expectations and are in line with agreed KPIs/SLAs.
Prepares management reporting, variance analyses, and analytical tools. Researches financial anomalies and makes corrections as necessary. Escalates variances/issues for management attention. 
Reviews, analyzes, reconciles, and interprets financial results in lower risk areas with customer/business managers
Maintains a basic understanding of financial systems and data elements related to assigned accounting processes
Performs internal controls as assigned. Monitors compliance of processes, transactions, and balances with accounting and finance policies
Provides feedback and suggestions to management on where process efficiencies can be gained
Participates in the monthly financial statement close for assigned shared services processes. Executes against Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as assigned
Provide Best-Practice insights/leadership over reconciliation processes
Act as a champion for the shared delivery vision, mission, and strategy
Participate in policy development and functional discussions/initiatives
Utilize advanced knowledge of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a risk-optimized environment
Manage the day to day maintenance activities for assigned tools (as applicable)
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree
CPA preferred.
1-3 years with a National public accounting firm.
1-3 years with a Fortune 500/multi-national consumer products company preferred.
SAP experience.
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with leadership team. 
MS Office and good Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, etc.). 
Customer service and cross-functional interpersonal skills. 
Deep operational process subject matter expertise. 
Consistent attention to detail.
Willingness to learn foundations of process optimization techniques.
