In this role, as the Global Customs Manager, you will be responsible for driving global Customs processes. Excellent leadership and facilitation skills needed to strengthen cross functional definition and alignment. You will encourage collaboration amongst Nike’s geography and territory Customs & Trade teams to define our future state and/or arrive at global solutions. Desired end results should insure compliance with all regulatory requirements, incorporate acceptable risk management and optimize Customs duties on a global basis. You will research regulatory requirements and analyze data to facilitate decisions related to product tariff classifications and product labeling. Your responsibilities also include defining and implementing solutions to support new business models.
Qualifications
5+ years work experience in Customs/Trade
Excellent leadership skills
Ability to understand and analyze local processes to define the future global state
Data analytics, metrics/reporting and performance management
Excellent verbal and written communications skills including meeting facilitation and presentations
Excellent information seeking skills and drive to make things happen
Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives. Make decisions quickly.
Ability to network, influence and utilize internal and external resources globally
Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management
