About the job

As the Sr. Globalization Manager for Nike.com, you will ensure that Nike experiences are truly global through scalable internationalization solutions, globalization best practices, and on-time, efficient delivery. You are a strategic thinker who knows how to influence and catalyze change at the speed of Digital. You will act as the liaison between product squads to ensure alignment and prioritization with our Localization Operations, Globalization Engineering and Quality program, while providing program-level insights and best practices to remove friction and increase the speed at which our experiences scale globally. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience of consulting agile teams to deliver truly global experiences with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally. You are an excellent communicator adept at building relationships with product, design and engineering teams to increase adoption of globalization best practices and programs. You should be a motivated self-starter that can work both independently and with others in a fast paced, ambiguous environment across different cultures. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to synthesize needs from Localization Operations, Globalization Engineering, Globalization peers and communicate it effectively to key partners. Key Responsibilities: Own the delivery of internationalized & localized experiences for Nike.com 
Manage an onsite and virtual team of project managers, language vendors, quality vendors, and Geography stakeholders around the globe 
Ensure adoption and delivery of our in-market/language quality program 
Consult digital product teams on how to design, define and build internationalized software 
Develop best practices and solutions that remove friction and scale the adoption of our experiences globally 
Identify market requirements gaps and facilitate gathering and publishing of requirements 
Create a prioritized roadmap for your product engagements that is aligned with our Globalization Engineering team, Localization Operations, and Product organization 
Educate Globalization/Internationalization/Localization concepts, best practices, and global insights across teams 
Key subject matter expert on internationalization and global insights 
Be an active participant in maturing our globalization program through scalable solutions and partnership throughout the Digital organization 
Regular reporting on program/product health 
Develop KPIs to track program success
QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred or additional years of experience in lieu of degree
4-6 years of software experience releasing international products OR 4+ years in a product/program management role
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle for mobile and web and demonstrated track record of successfully enabling localization in continuous delivery environments
Expert knowledge of i18n/l10n methodologies, tools and best practices
Experience working with product management, marketing and engineering teams, evangelizing and implementing globalization requirements, processes and best practices across production
Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with each agile function and presenting to senior leadership
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly switch between tactical and strategic thinking
Knowledge of agile project management and issue tracking tools (such as Jira) and project management best practices
