DescriptionJoin Nike’s Global Purpose Communications team, a strategic function within the Global Communications team that drives Nike’s purpose narrative and publishes Nike’s purpose site, the web platform that serves as the leading resource for Nike’s purpose positions and the company’s sustainable business report. As the Director of Purpose Communications & Editorial, you'll be responsible for developing communication strategies to drive Nike’s purpose narrative across multiple platforms, with a priority focus on Nike’s purpose site and other platforms that support Nike’s positioning as a brand of purpose. In close collaboration with the Purpose Communications team, you will develop themes and story arcs that will guide Nike’s strategy and maintain continuity of messaging across all of its purpose pillars. You will also partner with Internal Communications, Investor Relations, Government Affairs, Corporate Responsibility, HR, etc. to drive our corporate purpose narrative through multiple channels.This is a fast paced, highly collaborative role within a dynamic work environment. You’ll prioritize competing initiatives on a regular basis. As part of Nike’s Purpose Communications team, you’ll also embody a sense of humor and be a key contributor to shaping NIKE Inc’s integrated purpose positioning.Responsibilities to include:Define and drive editorial strategy for Nike’s purpose site
Developing highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and tactics to position Nike as a purpose-driven business across key platforms and channels
Develop and support key communications strategies to shape and amplify Nike’s positioning as a brand of purpose
Work closely and collaboratively with internal teams to drive engagement through compelling editorial and media-worthy experiences
Support global corporate communications events where appropriate
Support integrated purpose initiatives and events where appropriate
Create plans, track timelines and oversee a budget. Oversee internal and external approval processes where appropriate
QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related discipline
10+ years demonstrated experience as a communications leader with digital publishing experiences, managing an editorial team, and driving digital campaigns
Experience supporting globally branded organizations or high profile organizations.
2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
Proven experience with SEO and related tools; strong experience with analytics
Ability to identify, develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive informed decision making and refining strategies
Strong influencer skills and excellent writing skills; inspiring and innovative storyteller with deep expertise in writing and content creation for a variety of audiences and engagement goals, including speechwriting, presentations, digital content, media relations and events
Experience with global campaigns, with internal and external audiences
Experience communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly articulate ideas, successfully encourage differing points of view and strengthen relationships and rapport
Ability to Travel, 15-25%

Familiarity with NIKE’s matrix, businesses, brand and operating ethos
Demonstrated experience working across cultures and geographies; ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures
