Our Controlling function is at the heart of this mission through maintaining outstanding internal controls, providing timely, accurate, and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders, and delivering expert business partnership to cultivate profitable growth.
As the APLA Product Costing Manager you will play a critical role leading and managing the accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting for one of Nike’s most diverse geographies (Asia Pacific and Latin America).  
Key responsibilities include: 
APLA COE for all product costing related processes
Key owner for interface with tech support to drive solutions to system outages and enhancements
Implementation of RPA (Bots) to drive efficiency in the costing process by reducing manual work
Evolve variance reporting to drive key business insights for planning team
FOB/Freight/Duty/FX
Define all SAP processes around the timing and procedures related to initial costing and recosting of materials, closing the material ledger, and assessment/reporting of variances 
Define roles and responsibilities around maintaining SAP data tables for freight and duty.  Determine the source data and timing of data maintenance to strengthen costing accuracy.
SME for all costing areas related to inventory actuals  
Inventory Actuals
Understand and design the process and methodology around journal entries and accounting requirements (example - consumed vs. non-consumed PPV reclass)
SOX Controls
Design and implement all key controls around inventory actuals costing to address key risk and audit assertions
SME for walkthroughs and point of contact with internal and external auditors
Be a thought leader regarding accounting risk throughout APLA territories
Maintain financial statement integrity and compliance with US GAAP and statutory compliance
Build effective relationships with territory teams and partner cross-functionally  
Provide insights, analysis, and accounting expertise to key business partners and stakeholders at WHQ and in country  
Be the primary geography point of contact for Global Policies and a subject matter expert 
Continuously review and strengthen internal controls performing a thorough risk assessment and implementing internal controls to address any gaps
Work in a dynamic, growing, and fast-paced business environment 
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
A minimum of 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance or related functions
Big 4 Public accounting experience and/or Certified Public Accountant is preferred
Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience with SAP, including materials costing and closing the material ledger
Experience with standard costing methodologies, including standard setting for FOB, freight, duty, and foreign currency
Experience with analyzing purchase price variance related to FOB, freight, duty, and foreign currency
Foreign language knowledge preferred, with an emphasis on Spanish
Ability to travel internationally
Proactive, committed, independent, meticulous & responsible
Excellent analytical skills, resourceful and eye for detail
Demonstrated results in developing organization operating standards/processes as well as supporting documentation
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadership team and impact across a large, global matrixed organization
High standards for quality and the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and requests; ability to innovate and navigate through ambiguity
Extensive US GAAP experience and technical accounting knowledge
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts
Ability to pass a 7 year background check
