DescriptionAs the Accounting Manager, Asia Pacific Latin America Supply Chain Strategies & Initiatives, you will have an exceptional opportunity to be part of the Asia Pacific, Latin America (APLA) Geography and Global Innovation and Supply Chain Accounting teams. You will be part of a team that strives to deliver sustainable excellence across our APLA inventory and supply chain accounting processes, systems, and controls to ensure financial statement accuracy and enable NIKE’s operational and marketplace strategies and ongoing growth.
While mastering and executing the fundamentals will be critical, your ability to operate in a very dynamic environment and work effectively with a variety of internal stakeholders will also be crucial.  You will work within a complex matrix of internal partnerships with cross functional teams in NIKE’s Supply Chain Operations, Inventory Management, Finance, and Technology.
You’ll need a strategic mindset, a bias toward action and change, and a commitment to execution. You must have the ability to develop meaningful relationships with senior management to ensure success of our long-term vision.  You should be very comfortable with ambiguous situations and excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact at NIKE.
Key Accountabilities: Advise and partner with cross-functional leadership teams to understand, document, and assess the accounting implications of new go-to-market and supply chain strategies
Actively build relationships with Supply Chain leadership to ensure that APLA Supply Chain Controlling is considered a key stakeholder in decisions and strategies  
Act as the process owner for all APLA Supply Chain related contracts
Work cross functionally to provide metrics, measures, and recommendations for WMS to SAP imbalances and potential gaps/inefficiencies in existing operational processes  
Identify, implement, and evaluate operational and financial controls over inventory and supply chain processes as part of NIKE’s SOX processes
Support Nike’s Internal and External Auditors during walkthroughs and control testing of WHQ Supply Chain Controlling processes
Develop and produce monthly reporting on inventory metrics that track and indicate inventory health within the geography 
Implement and assess the impact of global policies within APLA that have been established by the Global Controlling teams
Partner with FP&A to accurately forecast and analyze costs related to Quality, Debit Notes, and Inventory Adjustments
Be a leader within the larger NIKE Finance and Controlling Organization to develop, embrace, and deliver best practices
Based in Beaverton, OR, at Nike World Headquarters this role may involve some travel to distribution centers throughout APLA. 
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in accounting, auditing or a related field
US GAAP experience and technical accounting knowledge around Inventory / COGS preferred
Big 4 Public accounting experience and/or Certified Public Accountant is required
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and requests including project tracking - manage and oversee multiple projects and deliverables
Problem structuring and strategic problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
Great listening skills and openness for different viewpoints
Strong presentation and influencing skills and the ability to interact with senior leadership
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to work cross-functionally
Self-starter, eager to learn, result-oriented and creative strategic thinker
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts
Ability to pass a 7 year background check  
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with SAP a plus
Experience managing complex cross-functional stakeholder engagements, including facilitating workshops
Advanced skills and proficiency in MS Excel required, Cognos and Tableau a plus
