DescriptionAs our Sr. Inventory Analyst, you'll be a critical cross-functional voice to ensure North America has the right inventory, in the right amounts, at the right time. You will create and present monthly inventory forecasts, a clear signal of our operational health for internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, you will develop expertise in how we plan for and use our inventory, leveraging analytics to drive insights into the health of our inventory, furthering our overall understanding of our current and projected results. You will partner closely with operational teams to forecast Sales, Receipts, & Inventory (SRI) for our key distribution facilities in North America. You will also participate on projects and strategic initiatives that help to grow and improve the Nike Demand-Supply Management (DSM) organization cross-functionally. As a valued member of our global planning and inventory community, you will also create, utilize, and share ‘best practices.’ Other responsibilities will include driving improvements in reporting tools and partnering with stakeholder teams on issue resolution.Key AccountabilitiesUse advanced analytics and forecast modeling techniques to develop rolling 12-18 month inventory forecasts
Provide commentary and analysis regarding coverage including root cause analysis compared with relevant data points (e.g., prior month, seasonal impacts, budget, etc)
Develop insights into the changes in demand or supply of inventory compared with relevant data points (e.g. compared to targets, prior months, budgets, prior years, etc.)
Embrace LEAN and demonstrate our culture of continuous process innovation and improvement. Lead improvement efforts around forecasting processes and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency of our inventory forecasts
Build & maintain meaningful partnership across many internal stakeholders to drive business results and resolve issue
Lead partnerships with global business partners to ensure Nike, Inc. maintains key advantages in forecasting and analytics
Consistently develop expertise in functional skills through training and mentorship
Influence others and achieve consensus when discussing and presenting opportunities
Own, escalate and resolve issues quickly
Positive, can-do attitude that lifts the collective team
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Computer Science or related field
5 plus years of planning (retail, inventory, sales, etc.), analytics, forecasting, operations, or related work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Understanding of retail value chains, planning processes, and operations preferred
A love for analytics and data. Knowledge of analytical tools and languages including Alteryx, Teradata, Tableau, R, SQL, SAS a plus
Curious and self-motivated, dedicated to improving one’s self and the organization
Interest in telling stories, both written and verbal
Understanding of SAP systems, Cognos and TM1 a plus
Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines in a team environment
