DescriptionTalent Mobility at Nike is focused on paving the way for Nike’s mobile workforce to go where our business and their careers take them. We want to fuel growth and innovation at Nike by intentionally developing and deploying our mobile workforce – ensuring the right talent capabilities in the right place at the right time. We broadly define the mobile workforce to include not only expats and domestic relocations but also any employee working outside their home location such as permanent transfers, cross-border commuters, business travelers, etc.Talent Mobility at Nike includes Immigration, Tax and Relocation experts that work together to consult business and HR leaders on becoming increasingly more strategic and planful around how we move and retain talent around the globe.The Immigration Program Consultant is part of the Talent Mobility Strategy and Programs  team within Total Rewards in HR.   You have a high degree of knowledge and expertise in all facets of global immigration as it pertains to multi-jurisdictional technical review, visa/work permit application requirements, document requirements, approval timelines and ability to optimize each case for successful and quick approvals. You will ensure that the immigration program runs smoothly across the various insourced and outsourced operations teams and that we are in compliance with government regulations, all the while delivering a premium people experience.Specific responsibilities include:Provide consultations on the most complex and high level matters to develop strategies to mitigate risk, enable informed planning and decision making and provide solutions to Nike Talent Mobility team and customers
Ensure high quality experience to employees, managers and business stakeholders by leveraging internal shared services and outsourced partners for transactional activity
Partner with the Global Immigration Manager on specialized projects with strategic focus on global immigration policy, stakeholder education and consultation and advising, implementing, maintaining and reporting on immigration policy matters
Role model partnership and collaboration at all levels with internal stakeholders, to deliver our high bar of people experience; hold operations team partners to high standards of service delivery and partnership
Lead various internal reviews or audits of immigration data, processes and policies.
Promote internal education by developing and delivering education materials, resources, process flows, and procedures and tools for HRBP’s, Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and employees
Provide immigration oversight and assess risks in the GEO
Support the implementation and design of policies, tools, programs and processes in the region
Be informed of geo specific updates and trends in order to benchmark and develop best practices
Be informed on analytics and updates and its impact to Nike’s  mobility programs
Support cross-functional/cross-geo global projects to support strategic goals
Manage inquiries government entities related to employees and temporary workers
QualificationsBA/BS degree or equivalent experience in immigration, Human Resources or directly related field
5 years working in deep technical role within global immigration with preferred at least 3 years of industry in-house immigration and mobility program experience
Legal background
US Immigration experience required; global immigration experience a plus
Excellent project management skills
Detailed knowledge of global visa types, processes and the ability to review case facts to determine the optimal filing type.
Ability to influence all levels of leadership and lead industry-transforming practices across all vendors
Ability to clearly articulate complex/nuanced matters to peers and stakeholders
