DescriptionAs our Sr Retail Planner for Global Nike Factory Stores, you will create long-range forecasts at the Gender, Division, Category, Apparel Classification, Footwear Franchise, and Style levels that deliver against our Global channel strategies. You will help to develop assortment strategies across gender, division, category, classifications, and styles that align to a holistic strategic direction for our rebuy product line and meet the needs of our Geography teams.Pre-Season Planning:•Create long-range seasonal gender, category, division, classification, franchise, and style-level assortment plans as an input into our Global Demand Plan, to achieve Global Factory Stores financial plans and targets•By partnering with key stakeholders including Merchandising and Finance, align plans to support product and financial strategies•Identify gaps between Global long-range rebuy plans and Geography-level rebuy plans to ensure assortment productivity is maximized and forecast volatility is minimized •Identify risks and opportunities between Global Nike Direct plans (cross-channel) and NFS plans, work with Digital, NSO, and NSP planners on mitigation strategies•Partner with Digital, NSO, and NSP planning to encourage the work to support key Global Nike Direct Planning gates including Buy Reconciliation and Hindsighting •Partner with Geographies on Consumer CODE process deliverables as well as facilitate best-practice sharing•In partnership with Business Planning, create rolling plans across Seasons to supporting IBP initiatives in DSMDSM Cross-functional partnership: •Partner closely with Demand Planning on long-range rebuy forecasts, sharing insights into plan drivers, growth assumptions, risks, and opportunities•Partner with DSM Analytics to create reports and tools in assessing the business for Global Nike Direct Planning as it relates to pre-season gates and business strategies Leadership:•Provide Global perspective of NFS Business across key stakeholders including Merchandising, Finance, Geography teams, and Global ND & DSM key team members •Act in support of Global & Geo Nike Direct Planning as it relates to driving DSM capabilities and initiatives including DDS, RPO, and interim planning solutions•Participate in Global strategic initiatives that will help to shape future of Nike Factory Stores and Nike liquidation ecosystem Qualifications•Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Fashion, Marketing or a related field •5+ years' experience in Buying, Planning, and/or Allocation for a Digital and multi-store retailer•Comprehensive understanding of retail math •Experience in assortment planning, ladder planning, and/or demand planning •Ability to create and analyze monthly reports, top line sales plans, and forecasting tools and/or documentation•Excellent and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and guide others•Ability to tailor communication to different audiences depending on business targets and level of detail needed •Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends•Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business •Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc •Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise ownership systems is preferred •Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions •Excellent team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
