DescriptionAs our MD1 (Material Developer I) on the Print & Pattern Development Team, you will support materials excellence by working closely with the Print & Pattern Developers, driving prompt execution of the Item Approval & Testing process, and supporting systems-based maintenance. You will be the resource within the Print & Pattern Team for seasonal Material Testing & Standards. You will develop consistency and integrity of standards & data at all times, staying up to date on Nike physical performance test specifications and ensuring all requirements are met. You'll support the team for Buy-Ready tracking and timely commercialization. You will be an integral team member of the Print & Pattern Development Team, as well as the MD1’s across the Textiles, Trims and Equipment community, and be a crucial part of cross-functional projects. This opportunity also involves utilizing testing and quality control knowledge in the production of materials & print applications to anticipate potential problems, facilitate problem solving, manage project follow through and meet deadlines.QualificationsBachelor's degree in apparel, textiles or a related field
Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
2 additional years’ experience in lieu of a degree
Data entry experience and strong systems focus
Basic working knowledge of MS Office applications
Able to anticipate needs, solve problems, perform research and analyze results
High attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities
Able to negotiate and influence with sensitivity for the creative process
Able to be assertive, self-motivated and work in a team environment
Sensitivity to different cultures, customs and business practices
Apparel design and development process knowledge is preferred
Understanding of textile fundamentals a plus (construction, yarn, fiber, dying, printing and finishing)
Lab testing and global material experience is a plus
Knowledge of various material types: trims, knits and wovens is a plus
