The successful candidate will be, at his/her core, a technologist with a track record of developing industry leading digital experiences. Ideally, s/he will have experience at a leading e-commerce, or a technology company highly regarded for its best-in-class digital products and services. S/he will have experience leading web, mobile app development as well as building developer platforms that unleash software development activity at scale. This individual must demonstrate strong leadership skills, signifying a passion for guiding and developing others and challenging his/her team to discover an improved way of delivering value. S/he must also have excellent communication skills. This candidate will guide a sound decision making process and will be influential in displaying strong interpersonal skills, underlined by superior judgment.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to a team of Directors and engineering managers across Nike App, Common Components, Nike Training Club and Nike Running Club apps.Drive engineering strategy, design/run-time frameworks and tools to accelerate build of mobile experiences by globally distributed teams. Be a trusted partner to key stakeholders across design, product and engineering in delivering digital solutions that embody the creativity and innovation legendary at NikePartner effectively with quality, delivery operations and engineering leaders to ensure flawless experience for members across our experience assets.QualificationsWhat we're looking for....Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 10+ years of experience in software development
4+ years’ of people management experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex information in a simple, easily understood manner to diverse groups of stakeholders
Proven ability to interact with all levels, partnering, facilitating, and influencing
Engineering leader who can recruit top talent and build teams that deliver results.
Ability to delegate and hold team accountable for results
Strategic Orientation as evidenced by ability to understand the business context in which the technology solutions are being developed and designed
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and leading teams through change
Ability to effectively manage multiple work-streams and complexity
Ability to travel 10% of the time
