The SAPAE Program and Scrum Management Team needs a Scrum Master that can support our team’s development and growth using Agile practices. This role will work closely with Agile teams, Product Owners and Product Managers and will facilitate all agile ceremonies making sure that the goals for each ceremony are met and that teams continue to evolve in their ways of work. Because as an Organization we are in a transition period this role will need to be flexible and play, at times, a coaching role with the rest of the team, providing advice and guidance on how to improve current practices.
Responsibilities:
Develops skills to operate as a servant leader in service to the team’s needs.
Supports the team in practicing Agile principles.
Assist the Product Owner in managing the backlog to ensure it is properly prioritized and appropriately sized.
Facilitates all the Scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, planning meetings, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos).
Tracks and communicates agile metrics (such as team velocity and sprint progress/burn down chart) to team, management and any impacted stakeholders.
Helps to identify, removes and/or escalate risks, roadblocks and cross team dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the team’s ability to deliver commitments.
Participates in scrum of scrum.
Continuously learns new approaches to facilitation, agile best practices and how to improve team dynamics.
Skillset:
Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
Previous experience supporting teams.
Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
Familiarity or experience with other agile methodologies such as LEAN, Kanban, XP Programming etc.
Relevant certification in the field preferred
Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
Agile Scrum Master (ASM)
Scrum Master Certified (SCM)
SAFe Advanced Scrum Master Certification
QualificationsUnderstanding of Agile Principles and how they’re applied in workplace culture.
Good facilitation skills within teams and groups.
Experience resolving issues at team level.
Good communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
An understanding of technology systems.
