Lead Engineer Job in Beaverton, VT

Will bring together technology and process expertise to deliver scalable and reliable technology solutions that enable the design and development of core products in Beaverton, OR. Will lead the creation, development, and automation of a cloud self-service platform that allows teams to focus on seamless, tailored and inherently adaptable solutions. Will utilize continuous delivery automated pipelines built by teams to deliver robust and scalable AWS cloud micro services. Will be responsible for overseeing that solutions are designed and developed using a scalable, and highly resilient cloud native architecture. Will participate in the implementation of a fully automated self-service platform in AWS that could also work in a hybrid cloud environment. Will ensure that product and technical features are delivered to specification and on-time. Will lead the development of tools and frameworks to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability and performance for the technology foundation of an internal platform. Will collaborate with other teams to help promote the PaaS/SOA/API charter. Will troubleshoot applications. Will lead the development of cloud-based systems, including AWS. Will utilize Python, Node.JS, and Java development experience especially in the Spring framework and AWS Lambda. Will work with AWS technologies including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch and Lambda. Will work with relational and No-SQL databases. Will work in languages like Python, Groovy, Javascript, Java, and Scala. Will work with Docker, Kubernetes and other container technologies. Will engage in test driving developments. Will work with hierarchical and distributed code repository management tools like GIT. Will directly supervise 5 to 10 subordinates. QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering. Experience: and eight years of overall progressive experience in information technology. Skills/Requirements: 1 year of experience: (1) multi-tiered application development, including Spring and Struts frameworks, (2) web technologies, including cloud technologies, Java programming, and AWS, (3) designing and implementing full stack development, while utilizing back-end and front-end technologies, (4) Restful Webservices, (5) relational and non-relational databases; (6) managed team of three to five people and helped other teams to determine system problems and enhanced existing system, and (7) delivery methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
