DescriptionAs Accounting Director, Asia Pacific Latin America Strategic Investments & SG&A you’ll be part of a dynamic team that is driving Nike’s international business growth through the Asia Pacific, Latin America (APLA) Geography. You will partner in exciting areas including Brand Marketing and Sports Marketing to translate business strategies into timely and accurate accounting and financial results. You will be accountable to ensuring all Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) spend across APLA is well-controlled and accounted for appropriately.

Mastering and executing the fundamentals will be critical and your ability to operate in a very dynamic environment and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders will be crucial. You’ll need to curate deep business partnerships with APLA Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing, Real Estate/Construction, Nike Direct and Financial Planning & Analysis and Global SI+SGA teams, and work through a virtual team across the eight international territories comprising APLA.

You’ll need a strategic mindset, a bias toward action and change, and a commitment to execution. You must have the ability to build strong relationships with teammates and cross-functionally to ensure success of our long-term vision.You should be very comfortable with bringing innovative and sustainable solutions to solve SG&A related challenges. QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
10+ years' extensive experience in public accounting, transaction services/financial business process consulting, industry controlling
2+ years' proven people management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadership team
Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations
Strong ability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and layers
Excellent understanding and application of managerial concepts and techniques in areas such as innovation, inspiration, employee development, coaching and engagement
Ability to pass a 7-year background check
Preferred:An MBA (with a concentration on Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field) or CPA is preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP, business processes and strategic planning is strongly preferred
Experience with accounting for e-commerce or other front end customer-facing interaction technology a plus
