Job Description
We are looking for an innovative and experienced authority in the synthesis and application of consumer data to join our Nike Direct APLA team to develop and lead the APLA Consumer Direct Sciences organization. You’ll be tasked with identifying opportunities to use consumer knowledge to develop new ways of reaching, connecting, and serving our consumers. The ideal candidate will have a history of driving data to insight to action through strategic and tactical deliverables with thoughtful integration into organizational operations; balancing driving short term business objectives with a long-term value. They will have experience leading organizational change and creating and growing teams in an international business environment. And, they will have a passion for serving consumers. Key responsibilities:Lead the data team that delivers business reports and insights, target setting and tracking, and holistic business and membership metrics, to identify opportunities to strengthen consumer-centric business growth.
Expand the marketing sciences practice including marketing and media measurement and optimization, the systematic study of content, and the identification and optimization of audiences to drive relevancy and impact.
Employ multiple disciplines and methods to determine and deliver measurable gains in return on investment and efficiency, while maintaining quality in consumer experience.
Synthesize and translate complex findings into curated, relevant, and useful deliverables that impact programs.
Grows and guides a diverse team of analytics and research experts, with a focus on development and retention.
QualificationsEducation:Background in a related field such as statistics, economics, and applied analytics
Advanced degree in a quantitative or research field a plus
Experience10-15 years experience in data science and applied analytics in a marketing, consumer products, digital commerce and/or retail setting
Deep experience with the applying consumer data, research, and analytics to digital marketing, e-commerce, retail and loyalty programs
Experience managing business relationships and process across multiple, complex business units in a fast-paced setting
Required SkillsA history of excellence and innovation in synthesizing complex findings, data visualization and storytelling, and client presentation and partnerships
A good understanding of applied statistics including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis, and data mining techniques
Familiarity with key trends and technologies in digital marketing and digital commerce, loyalty programs
Ability to manage a portfolio of large research projects with multiple business stakeholders in a fast moving setting with ambiguous requirements
Deep experience managing multiple business priorities and executive stakeholders in an ambiguous and rapidly growing organizational setting
