About the team:We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join the Nike Training Club (NTC) team to help us build the future of fitness. Thousands of people turn to our app daily to help them reach their goals with expert guidance from trainers and athletes. People love the NTC app and the ability to workout wherever they are with whatever time and equipment they have available. About the role:As a team member, you'll help design, build, and ship an app that connects to millions of customers via 19 languages on both iPhones and Apple Watch. We use scrum with daily standups, two-week sprints, sprint planning, retrospectives, peer-reviewed pull requests via Bitbucket, test cases, Slack, Jira, Zeplin, Basecamp, and the latest hardware. You'll be interacting with other teams (quality engineering, design, content management, API, security, localization, Nike Run Club, etc.) to ship a quality app worthy of the Swoosh logo. You'll be using your Kotlin talent to help us build out the NTC app with exciting new features and capabilities (new workout content, in-app commerce, new UI designs, video, etc.).QualificationsFluency in Java and Kotlin with recent development experience
Experience using Google architectural components (Lifecycle, Room, ViewModel)
Experience developing, delivering, and supporting multiple native Android applications through the Google Play store
Expert-level knowledge of Android SDK API levels, capabilities, OS versions, material design, and popular devices
Experience designing mobile applications to consume server-based REST APIs
A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and Android design patterns
Experience and proficiency in some of the following: multithreading, memory management, networking, performance optimization, app security
Excellent analytical skills

Ability to work as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:In-depth knowledge in at least two of the following: multithreading, memory management, networking, performance optimization, app security
Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test driven development, static analysis, and automated integration tests
