DescriptionResponsible for leading the design, development, and ongoing evaluation of Nike’s Global Stock Program (stock options, restricted stock, and ESPP) to ensure alignment with our people, culture, and business strategies. Partners closely with the key stakeholders (stock administration, legal, finance, accounting) to ensure programs, practices & solutions maximize impact & efficiency.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and deliver programs that motivate performance and are fully aligned with both the strategic plan and good governance practices
Partner internally to evaluate the competitiveness of programs and practices, leveraging local market insights
Build dynamic analytics and reporting capabilities to enable agile compensation consulting and decision making
Create user-friendly documentation and tools to enable clarity and consistency of programs
Monitor the effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures, including plan participation, usage, and modeling of share utilization & projections
Partner internally to develop reporting systems, internal review processes, and audits to drive excellent governance & compliance of programs
Develop budget for assigned programs and manage budget after it is approved
Partner closely with those managing the day-to-day administration of stock plans and manage vendor relationships
Partner with a diverse group of global stakeholders to assess needs and create capability in managing global compensation activities
Provide input for preparation of annual proxy filing including the Compensation Discussion and Analysis and equity-based proxy tables
Support the requests of senior management
Prepare materials for presentation to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
Support the Total Rewards change agenda through the development of actionable insights, recommendations, and innovations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5-8 years of increasing responsibility and experience in global compensation
Certified Equity Plan Professional (CEP) and Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred, but not required
Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling
Knowledge of stock plan design and grant practice implications for countries around the globe
Knowledge of employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) to include design and administration
Goal-oriented with ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an evolving work environment
Detail oriented with ability to develop accurate work deliverables with a professional finish
Story-telling, influence, and advocacy - exceptional verbal and written presentation skills, including ability to prepare materials for audiences at all levels of the organization
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
Self-directed with critical thinking ability
Collaborative, positive, results-oriented
