DescriptionMISSIONDesign graphics for some of Jordan brands most coveted and iconic apparel collections using storytelling, craft, and excellent art and design. Is passionate about the Jordan Brand and its consumers. Is passionate about streetwear, trend and art. Is a leader with a point of view. Is an excellent collaborator around a shared vision.FOCUSBrings to life the seasonal category creative narrative through disruptive and engaginggraphic design.ACCOUNTABILITIESMaintains and continually expands upon expert knowledge of current trends, streetwear, fashion, color, technology, and sports-related products through travel and research.
Demonstrates expert understanding of products, product lines, product development process, and the specific markets in which Jordan does business.
Creates the Visual Center for sportswear collections, Storytelling around concept or Athlete that influences the overall seasonal direction.
Uses exceptional design skills to create original, innovative concepts and designs that appropriately reflect Jordan designs and applications.
Leads design efforts within a category to create original graphic and/or textile concepts and designs that appropriately reflect Jordan’s design ethos and which lead the industry.
Creates and delivers powerful presentations of seasonal design proposals.
Understands and applies new technologies that bring innovation to Jordan designs and applications. Effectively uses computerized systems in design process.
Provides appropriate materials to designers, developers, account managers, and/or graphic separators for creation of screen prints, embroidery, and trims. For textiles, produces textile repeats for production purposes.
Communicates and presents design concepts; produces presentation materials in conjunction with design and category teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences.
Maintains healthy cross-functional relationships and builds matrix relationships outside of immediate team.
Participates in Interviews and Talent identification.
Acts as graphic lead for a Category or Product Line.
Fosters strong cross-functional relationships within design and related functions.
Participates in forum with category consumers to deepen consumer insights for product classifications.
Effectively uses design support.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Related Field plus 5 years of professional experience
2 additional years of profession experience in lieu of a degree
