Overview:This role is responsible for driving high-visibility, complex, and cross-domain initiatives across Nike Direct. You will serve the consumer by collaborating with product, engineering and business teams to deliver a unique, world-class experience. You will work to connect the marketplace and extend Nike’s reach into third party commerce platforms to enable the Nike consumer to buy any product, any time, any where. As part of the Enterprise Program team, you will not only have the opportunity to contribute to the larger Nike Direct plan, but you will also help shape and guide the makeup of this unique team within the APM (Agile Program Management) team. Core Responsibilities:
Strengthen multiple project teams to successful outcomes, balancing the work of internal teams (product managers, engineers, designers and QA) with the expectations of multiple external stakeholders.
Partner with product management and external stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of success criteria and business impact. Leverage this understanding as work is prioritized to ensure delivery of the highest priority initiatives.
Develop full program plans including milestones, deliverables, resourcing, dependencies, development, escalation and communication. Effectively and dynamically context switch between the individual task level and high level program milestones, with the goal of maintaining a consistently up-to-date view that can be conveyed outward.
Define, implement, and communicate risk management plans with a mindset towards proactive problem solving.
Display an understanding of basic technical architecture of software systems, and be able to leverage that understanding in communication.
Rigorously manage scheduling at the task level, with overall accountability at the program level.
Proactively approach communication with clarity and urgency.
Contribute as a positive team player by always looking for Nike First solutions while recognizing others for their contributions.
Demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver results.
Ability to maintain a win-win attitude through adversity and challenge.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in consumer technology
5-7+ years experience in program management or technical leadership
A true passion to deliver world class experiences and products to all athletes*
Demonstrated ability that reflects a bias towards action and delivering results
Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
Disposition towards building relationships and leveraging partnerships to navigate complex organizational challenges
Demonstrated ability to market your ideas and persuasively move others to action
Comprehensive understanding of software development, including continuous delivery and devops • Familiarity with domain driven and microservice architecture • Deep understanding of agile planning and iterative development • Ability to work across dozens of teams at one time to deliver a unified experience for the consumer • Extensive project management experience, developing and managing schedules, scope, budgets, resource plans, issues, risks, communications and quality/testing plans • Willingness to participate in user acceptance testing to go the extra mile when needed • Comfortable working in a highly ambiguous, very fast-paced, results-oriented environment • PMP or ACP certification preferred
