Nike is looking for an expert Frontend Engineer to join our growing team. You will join a team of engineers who are passionate about developing robust technical solutions to challenging business problems. The team is designing and developing micro-services using serverless patterns using cloud native applications, APIs, and code pipelines that value automation, testing and security. You will have experience developing state of the art user interfaces and a passion to deliver excellent user experiences. The right candidate will have experience utilizing the latest tools and techniques to deliver business value in the form of user interfaces.Scope and Responsibilities:Facilitate the discovery and research efforts necessary to understand and define user needs and motivations
Create responsive, interactive wireframes to guide developers and product owners
Creation of responsive and reusable UI components
UI build and deployment processes and maintenance of those processes
Profile and performance tune your work to ensure we deliver the best web experience to designers across the globe (including regions with intermittent and low bandwidth)
Focus on automated testing and robust monitoring
Develop components, services, and applications for Continuous Delivery
Qualifications5 - 7+ years of hands-on frontend engineering experience
Excellent demonstrated experience using current web technologies (NodeJS, React, Angular, Electron, VueJS, etc.)
Experience developing thick client-side JavaScript and integrating with server-side logic
Testing experience using TDD methodology using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, etc.
Experience in trouble shooting and root cause analysis for any performance issues
Experience with application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, NewRelic, Dynatrace
Experience with source control tools (GIT) and ability to review code, provide feedback on pull requests
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant field. Equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and micro-services
Experience building RESTful APIs and familiarity with OpenAPI and SWAGGER
Understanding of Java 8, J2EE technologies, Spring Framework
Working knowledge of basic computer science data structures and algorithms
Nice to have experience with collaboration tools (VersionOne, Confluence, Lucid Chart) as well as working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
Experience using standard design, wireframing and prototyping tools (Axure, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite or others)
Experience with Amazon Web Services (API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch)
Experience with CI/CD using application development and deployment tools (Jenkins, Terraform).
