DescriptionEvery effective team at Nike needs a brilliant game plan. Strategic Planning teams shape & facilitate the company’s growth agenda by developing the business planning processes, aligning with company leadership to make our biggest opportunities a reality, and spearheading transformational projects across Nike’s diverse businesses and geographies.As our Strategic Planning Manager, Global Categories, you'll support the Senior Director, Global Categories, in managing the strategic business planning process, authoring 1 to 3+ year strategic and business plans, organizing and managing key strategic meetings, and work with the Global GM leadership team to facilitate a strategic agenda. You'll also develop high-impact presentations and resources to communicate strategic plans and visions across the organization and develop overall long-term business and financial models and assist leadership in developing and implementing strategic organizational alignment initiatives. You'll help support the development and ongoing management of instruments and processes to implement against the strategic and business plans, establishing scorecard metrics to monitor the strategic plan and communicating critical reports. Doing all this requires a unique team member. You must be a self-starter, flexible thinker and outstanding communicator, as well as comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing different personalities and perspectives. You will need those skills as you work not only across multiple functions but also across multiple geographies, living within Nike’s matrixed organization. Results will depend on your ability to quickly form both professional and personal relationships with colleagues and drive to rigorous, well-communicated deliverables. QualificationsBachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years’ work experience in management consulting, corporate strategic planning, corporate development, business development, investment banking or related fields
In lieu of a degree an additional 2 years of experience is acceptable
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred but not required
Previous management consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm is highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams and provide project management support
Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models
Demonstrated ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to consumers, industries and competitors
Problem structuring and strategic problem solving skills
Can-do attitude and history of making things happen independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Demonstrated ability to care for multiple projects at once
Ability to pass a criminal background check
