DescriptionAs our Color Designer II, you'll work under the direction of the Color Design Leadership team and Category Design Leadership team to create innovative, retail-viable color design options for a line of tennis apparel. You'll work with cross-functional groups such as Design, Product Marketing, Merchandising, Development, and Materials to focus color solutions for market success. Creating a merchandisable line from concept to retail presentation will include researching color, design, market and lifestyle trends that influence the color strategy, presenting the seasonal direction internally, executing and finalizing product details. In addition you'll maintain calendar/timelines/deadlines that result in a timely completion of each product. You will focus on Women’s Tier 1 Athlete Apparel.QualificationsBachelor degree in Design, Art, Fashion or a related field5-7 years' relevant work experience or an Associate's of Art degree from an accredited art school; 4 years' experience in a design environment working with colors, palette development and color trendsDeep understanding of fashion design including knowledge of visual design concepts, including color compatibility and color placement and a keen sense of materials and finishesAbility to apply and perform design skills, including sketching, concept ideation, color theory and visual presentationKnowledge of product design and development processFamiliarity with product manufacturing processes, including apparel materials and dyesDemonstrated knowledge of Macintosh computers and Photoshop, Free Hand and/or Illustrator; preferably in a Mac environment NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
