DescriptionAs the Running Footwear Merchandising Director for APLA, you’ll be responsible for driving the Men’s Running Footwear assortment direction and strategy to ensure a productive and profitable marketplace. Working with a One Team philosophy, you will be a critical member of the cross-functional running team & partner with multiple stakeholders to achieve our Running category priorities - Win with Runners and Fuel the Boom.Key Responsibilities :Develop productive and profitable assortments that achieve financial targets and lead to a healthy, growing marketplace
Utilize marketplace data, consumer insights, foresight and hindsight to develop seasonal plans to serve our consumer and achieve category priorities
Ensures strong partnership with Category, Brand, IMP, DP and Marketplace Merchandising teams to develop category channel/tier assortment strategies that meet the needs of a diverse portfolio of marketplaces
Translate consumer and market insights to influence line-planning and capacity plans for future seasons 
Partner with Women’s By Nike team to ensure aligned Running assortment strategies across genders
Strong partnership with Global Merchandising, Geo Marketplace & Nike Direct teams to define and land Category assortment vision
Work with the cross-functional team on allocated-styles strategy and forecast
Foster a consumer-first mindset through marketplace travel to key cities and territories

QualificationsRequires a Bachelor’s degree or additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree
At least 10 years’ experience in merchandising, product creation, and or retail, in a vertical or wholesale environment
Footwear, apparel and/or equipment merchandising experience
Territory & Geography or Geography & Global Merchandising experience preferred
Proficiency in retail and profit based metrics
Assortment planning experience
A keen understanding of the Nike consumer and marketplace
A high taste level for product
An ability to employ retail acumen and proven storytelling capabilities
An ability to respond with speed and agility
Proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders across the matrix 
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Candidate must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time
