The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. DescriptionJoin Nike’s Narrative and Publishing Team, a strategic function within the Global Communications team that drives the company’s narrative and key stories. We are looking for individuals with the ability to expand the boundaries of communications and define the future. Individuals, who connect, impact and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking.Our exposure is across the business and touches every corner of the globe. Your primary role will be as Associate Editor for Nike’s global external web site, Nike News.The Associate Editor for Nike News is responsible for maintaining the site’s day-to-day editorial flow — inclusive of writing/producing feature content and quick-hit stories. The position is also accountable for reporting site statistics and assistance with site SEO efforts.Ideal candidates should have a passion for sport and fitness, a background in journalism, and experience with content management systems. Familiarity with multimedia storytelling (photography, graphics and video) is a plus.Responsibilities:Conceive of and produce feature stories that relay the Nike narrative
Write AP-style news posts and short product posts
Maintain editorial calendar
maintain site organization and tagging
Report site statistics
Guide allocation and tracking of significant freelancer budget
QualificationsA passion for sport and knowledge of the sport landscape and important moments is a must
Basic knowledge of web platforms and publishing is also desired
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Advertising or similar
7-10 years previous experience preferred
Highly advanced application of writing skills
