DescriptionNXT Digital Innovation provides a competitive advantage by leveraging the power of modern technologies, skills and services to fuel the future of product innovation and craft. To accomplish this, we leverage the power of modern technologies, skillsets and services. We are seeking aSr Digital Knit Programmer that has strong programming skills and conceptual design skills and is interested in helping us think outside of the box to accelerate this vision. As our Sr Digital Knit Programmer, you'll play a key role in the creation of next generation product concepts that will help to craft the future of Nike’s innovation strategies.
The Sr Digital Knit Programmer role within the NXT Digital Innovation team will partner closely with digital innovators and advanced innovation teams to research, develop and deliver digitally enabled products and solutions. The ideal candidate has technical programming skills and deep engineered textile design knowledge, a strong understanding of modern product creation best practices and is a creative and innovative thinker.   

Duties: 
Plan, analyze, and implement data and digital informed design programming solutions for computer-controlled knitting machines. 
Partner with product designers, innovators to explore product concepts
Identify, capture and communicate new programming techniques & best practices required to push forward emerging digital product creation processes.
Conduct program testing to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability for production and innovation. 
Analyze business and technical programming requirements for development of new tools and processes to create industry-leading engineered textiles products and materials. 
Work with product designers, engineers and factory partners to transition new processes from concept to production. 
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Textile Science/Design, Fashion, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted) AND 5 years' experience as a CAD Programmer, Knit Programmer (CAD), Technical Knit Specialist or similar position.
OR
Seven years industry experience as Head CAD Programmer, Senior Knit Programmer (CAD), Senior Textile Manufacturing Technologist or similar position.

Including five years' experience:

Working in yarn manufacturing and technical knitwear industry for apparel industry;
Working with Stoll Software systems, including (i) M1, S1, or M1+; (ii) CMS; (iii) working with Knit & Wear seamless knitwear programming; and (iv) Fully Fashioned programming; 
OR
Working with Shima Seiki Software using hardware systems, including SDS (Shima Design System), TDS (Total Design System) or SDS One; and working with Fully Fashioned and Whole-Garment programming;
Including four years' experience:
Working with near shore production sites to test, refine, and validate production process.
