DescriptionAs our Lead Security Officer, you'll enhance the supervisory presence by providing security team guidance. You'll create and direct the daily rotational schedule, direct officers in the conduct of their duties and if necessary assume command of any incidents pertaining to fire, life, safety, property damage or any other crisis situation. You'll also ensure shift reports are accurate and assist in follow-up investigations by confirming the accuracy of Incident Reports. You'll run reports from the Access system and review/verify that appropriate evidence gathering protocol was followed. You'll also work with the Shift Supervisor to ensure monthly team assignments are completed within expectations and are on time. This opportunity routinely requires agility, strength and physical endurance as well as being able to sit, stand, and move for all or part of your shift. You'll also need to traverse, bend, reach, twist, and lift in excess of 30 pounds. You'll need to respond to emergency situations such as fire, evacuations and threats and may need to physically restrain hostile employees or guests. In addition, your patrol and inspection responsibilities require both indoor and outdoor work and you may be exposed to inclement weather during day or night.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED
3 years' of experience in security, law enforcement or a related field
Knowledge of contemporary security and property protection techniques/methodologies
Knowledge of appropriate security actions in the event of an emergency situation
Strong working knowledge of computer-based access control and alarm systems
Understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft Word and email
Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check and drive security vehicles
Clean DMV record
Ability to read, write, speak, hear and understand verbal and written English
Ability to take quick, appropriate action in stressful, hostile or dangerous situations, be calm in emergency situations and handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to lift in excess of 30 lbs
Ability to work overtime on any shift
6 to 12 months' of leadership experience is preferred
Current DPSST Certification is preferred
