DescriptionThe Associate Merchant, Women by Nike provides support to the team through (1) NSW Footwear focus and (2) Women by Nike team support.NSW Footwear focus: This role will work closely with the NSW FW merchant to create assortment frameworks, strategy, and tools focused on energizing the diverse APLA marketplace through Concepts & Innovation, Power Franchises, Packs & Collections, and Inclusive Offers. The associate merchant needs to have a strong passion for product with a curious, resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and team-first attitude.This role is responsible for providing support on driving the vision within APLA by working closely with the Geo and Territory Category teams, Marketplace Merchandising team, Sales team and Digital team across the integrated marketplace.To drive: disruptive stories, meaningful moments, deliberate tiering
To strategically seed: the right product, to the right consumer, in the right places, with the right partners at the right time
Acts as the pivot across geography functions as well as the bridge from global to geography
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, NSW Footwear focus:Manage assortments for the assigned portion of business with the aim of achieving revenue goals and KPI’s
Work on line plan adjustments and update tools accordingly
Inform and influence the merchant’s assortments with marketplace/consumer insights and data analysis
AV and tool responsibility
Women by Nike team support:This role will also support the broader Women by Nike merchandising team in executing the seasonal vision, by ensuring alignment and completion of seasonal tools, driving clear communication to geo and territory partners, as well as supporting the team on sample management process for identified gates.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Help the team to ensure all seasonal tools are created and delivered on time, including Key Looks, Packs & Collections, FW Allocation, Essential Plans, IBA tools, and Seasonal Product Codes for Bookings and POS Reporting
Manage efficient archiving/access of Category Merch information – Sharepoint, Box, etc.
Support the team on tracking seasonal Merchandising KPI’s
Deliver premium merchandising and sell-in tools
Drive clear and concise communication to Geo and Territory partners; work with Global partners on support for tools as necessary
Support the team and engage in the setting up, preparation, and execution of key merchandising meetings and gates
Support the team as required in ensuring seasonal Edited Offers are maintained accurately in the system working with Merch Ops
Foster key relationships with Territory and Geo counterparts, ensuring timely communication and tools empowering execution of assortment strategies, segmentation, and product knowledge
Communicate the energy plan and assortment strategy to key stakeholders
Support the team on sample management process for identified gates through unpacking/sorting/labeling
QualificationsBachelor's degree or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
2 years of relevant experience within Product / Merchandising
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and seasons
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to various cross-functional partners
Self-motivated information seeking skills and a drive for results
Excellent attention to detail
Curious, resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and team-first attitude
Ability to influence and build consensus across various functions
Proficiency with Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Experience with MMX and AV preferred
