Role:Does pioneering new and innovative ways to collect, maintain, and showcase key customer data scenarios sound exciting to you? As the Principal Director of Program for Privacy, Digital you will work with cross functional leaders, key stakeholders, and our Chief Privacy officer to deliver programs that help us protect consumer data while also continuing to innovate creative ways to serve them. This will require partnering to build world class approaches and processes involving how we go about collecting, maintaining, and adhering to our customer's wishes on how to use their data. To that end, this role evolves the existing Privacy Program systems, which integrates through all aspects of engineering programs. From the consumers ability to opt-in to marketing mail, to delivering notifications on delivery of their latest kicks, to how users' running data is used to predict when to purchase that next pair of running shoes; Data is the information NIKE must have to grow its business.This role will require:Excellent verbal & written communication with Chief Privacy Officer, Legal Team, Privacy Analysts and Privacy Program Office to understand legal requirements, and covert these to technical requirements for teams.
Ability to work with Solution Architects, Security Architects, Lead Engineers, and drive alignment on implementation of work, challenge assumptions, and build working models that strengthen a cohesive data-engagement across entirety of NIKE's engineering systems.
Fantastic presentation skills which walks senior leadership through multiple use-cases, with architectural help, on implementing features which will impact users.
Partner across NIKE's engineering organization to strengthen adoption of common Privacy Engineering Principles; Do the same with Program, Product, and Vice Presidents from various divisions.
Obsess about consumer interaction with NIKE's products, understand how engineering implementation will impact the users, and ensure product owners agree.
Build Strategies which evolves NIKE's commitment to the customer data and engage with key stakeholders to maintain accountability.
An understanding of Privacy Rules and regulations around the world, including GDPR, COPPA compliance, CCPA implementation, and evolving privacy trends as it relates to technology companies and retention of data.
Well versed in Data Science, Large Data Systems, and platforms that require use of these systems in order to operate. Have built or program-managed a large platform or system, with millions of users.
Deep experience in computer science, with experience on API calling patterns, common architectural patterns, and authentication systems.
Experienced professional in building, running, and holding accountable distributed teams; Agile & Scrum development, as well as managing multi-million dollar budget and ensuring teams are accountable for deliveries.
Master in war-room and after-action reviews to ensure teams rectify mistakes when they happen.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in consumer technology
10+ years’ experience in digital program management, product management or technical leadership
A passion to deliver world class experiences and products to all athletes*
Demonstrated ability that reflects a bias towards action and delivering outsized results
Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
Disposition towards developing relationships and leveraging partnerships to navigate complex organizational challenges
Demonstrated ability to support leaders, teams, cultures, and market your ideas and persuasively move others to action
A thorough understanding of software development process, and data-driven decision making.
Relevant experience working with and managing complex programs that have global impacts and dependencies.
Comprehensive understanding of release management practices, software development methodologies (Agile), and domain specific best practices
Experience working with multiple cross functional teams in delivering large technical infrastructure and consumer initiatives
Extensive project management experience, developing and managing schedules, scope, budgets, resource plans, issues, risks and change requests
Comfortable working in a very exciting, goal oriented environment
