At the heart of the Consumer Direct Offense is Nike’s new NikePlus membership program that will provide member-only access to the products members love, matched to their individual preferences and buying patterns. This unique access to Nike’s greatest innovations and most coveted styles is about three key services that serve consumers on their terms: first access to the latest products, exclusive access to personalized services and experiences, and reserved product for members only. The Role We are searching for a savvy omni-channel Director with strong retail and digital experience to join the North America Membership team and lead a marketplace membership strategy, aimed at increasing NikePlus member activity within strategic retail partner environments. The person coming into this role will have the ability to directly influence and impact the initiatives strategy and roadmap. Reporting to the Sr. Director, NA Membership, this individual will define, launch and scale an innovative membership strategy in partnership with one of Nike’s key marketplace partners. This leader will develop the portfolio of benefits, marketing and experiences to acquire, engage, and retain members. This work will be conducted in concert with the strategic partner, with the end goal of driving lifetime value. We are looking for candidates with a track record of acquiring and engaging new consumers, working in both a B2B and B2C environment with a desire to be at the center of Nike’s transformational efforts. Flexibility, drive, and communication capabilities will be critical characteristics. The ability to form relationships internally, and with the strategic account is essential. This person must also be able to think with an enterprise mindset, balancing the desire to grow the Nike direct business, while also serving our marketplace.Key responsibilities of this role include: Defining and optimizing a portfolio of member benefits, programs, and experiences focused on acquiring and serving members as an extension of NikePlus within the Marketplace Partner environment
Identifying and activating member programming and marketing plans required to drive member acquisition, onboarding and retention of members acquired within the Marketplace Partner environment in partnership with the Integrated Account Team (Nike Brand)
Utilizing consumer insights, testing, and data to iterate the acquisition, onboarding and sustained engagement experience in partnership with the Integrated Account Team (Nike Consumer Experience)
Partnering with the Global, Geography & City Membership and Integrated Account teams
Partner with external account teams, acting as both a representative of Nike Inc., but also an invested stakeholder in the account’s business results.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate would have some, if not all of the below experience:Educational experience in Business, Marketing, Behavioral Economics, or similar
6-8 years of experience in CRM, loyalty, engagement or retention related marketing roles
Hands on experience working with an account, or on the account side for a consumer brand
Hands-on experience leveraging consumer data to inform and execute marketing strategies (segmentation, research, surveys, personas, end-to-end journey mapping)
Hands-on experience developing consumer benefits and incentives (cost analysis, focus groups, pilot experiments)
Experience influencing the development of capabilities needed to serve consumers at scale and enable omnichannel journeys
Understanding of behavioral economics, consumer psychology, and the current and emerging landscape of membership programs
Ability to consistently deliver impact and strong cross-functional partnerships
