DescriptionNike’s response to the ever-changing needs of the marketplace has created a clear mandate to evolve from the legacy Category Gameplan (CGP) to the faster, more integrated and consumer-driven Nike Consumer Code (NCC). This transition represents a critical component of how geographies will realize the benefits of the Consumer Direct Offense (CDO). The NCC is how Geographies bring Brand Concepts, powered by Categories, to life for its customers and consumers. It enables teams to drive growth and profitability in an integrated marketplace by exceeding expectations.
Today, there is a significant opportunity within North America (NA) to drive a simple, efficient and more responsive end-to-end Go-To-Market (GTM) process. This role will help us develop and implement a NA Seasonal Readiness process that enables role and responsibility clarity, the right work at the right time to influence the season, organizational decision-making efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. Achieving this ambition will start with a more robust cross-functional approach that will examine new opportunities driven by the CDO, key city strategies, and category offenses. This work will ultimately help enable Nike to forge stronger relationships with the consumer through increased speed and flexibility.
The role reports directly to the NA Strategy Sr Director and partners closely with major Geography functions (Brand, Merchandising, Demand & Supply Management, and Sales) to achieve a seamless seasonal workflow and sell-in process. The role will partner with leaders in these functions to drive continuous improvement and maintain a high standard of cross-functional alignment and execution of the Nike Consumer Code. The role will be the first point of contact into the Geo for the Global Consumer Code team and likewise, serve as liaison into the Global Code team.
Key responsibilitiesLead the Nike Consumer Code on behalf of North America:
Ensure visibility to function-specific processes, and alignment of those processes to NA Consumer Code
Drive adoption of seasonal NCC activities in partnership with cross functional teams
Partner with cross functional teams to clearly identify roles and responsibilities that will support the NCC for NA
Drive simple, timely and efficient communication across categories, functions, territories and global partners related to seasonal processes and touchpoints
Ensure NA NCC portfolio is aligned with the NA strategy and delivered within key constraints (timelines, resources, and budgets)
Provide regular & structured updates to Senior Geo Leadership ensuring proper visibility to NA Project/Portfolio status and key risks
Drive & Influence the evolution of the NCC:Drive collaboration with Global/Geo NCC counterparts to enable continuous improvement while advocating for NA strategic imperatives
Lead effort to identify current NA NCC process opportunities and define solutions in collaboration with cross-functional leaders
Identify, develop and leverage digital strategies/tools as catalysts for change & collaboration across the NA NCC
Influence Senior Geo Leadership to drive aligned perspective on NA NCC path forward
Lead cross-functional NA NCC team:Assign clear roles/responsibilities and clearly articulate relevant goals/objectives
Provide feedback and coaching to help drive organizational growth and individual development
Embed a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation across the virtual team
Work closely with direct employees to build EDP and provide relevant growth opportunities
QualificationsBachelor's degree plus 8 years of professional work experience in Project Management/Process Design/Org Design major or course work preferred
OR, MBA plus 6 years of experience (2+ years' experience post-MBA).
OR, in lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant work experience.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment
Proven ability to pull together diverse individuals with different goals and facilitate productive discussions
Successful track record liaising with and influencing executive level professionals to drive business outcomes
Mastery of business communication tools and verbal/written communication to promote conceptual understanding and mobilize change through storytelling
