Description

Nike’s Consumer Knowledge Centre of Excellence is a growing team responsible for building and deepening a holistic view of Nike’s consumers through data and analytics and applying those insights to inform the development of incredible digital content & experiences for our consumers.
We are looking for someone who’s obsessed with content insights, passionate about the science of content analytics, and adept at leading a team who translates large volumes of data into simple insights with real world application. The ideal candidate will have a history of developing creative and effective ways of applying, integrating and sharing performance insights, and possess the vision and leadership skills to partner with key business stakeholders to translate these insights into action.

The candidate should excel at working with multiple marketing stakeholders and managing multiple deliverables simultaneously. In this role, you’ll work as an extended member of the Nike Direct Marketing team, serving as an analytics expert using consumer engagement data to identify opportunities to optimize content & audiences for web, email, triggers, media, app and push notifications. You will have the opportunity to develop and execute quantitative consumer analytics to develop a deep understanding of our consumers and engagement across Nike’s communication ecosystem, as input into experimentation/modelling and business strategy.

Deep Experience in analytics and modern digital marketing tools and methods is critical to the candidate’s success in this role. Superb leadership, powerful teamwork, strong story-telling & the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders are critical skills for the role.

Key Responsibilities
Champion advanced analytics for marketing communications (email, triggers, app content, push notifications) across both the Campaign and Editorial models including a full digital ecosystem view of business and consumer impact.
Work with key partners to deeply understand their business strategies and priorities, actively identifying opportunities where research, analytics and personalization can most powerfully impact consumer experiences and fuel internal decision-making.
Serve as an expert in analyzing and leveraging data to optimize content for our consumers incorporating a wide variety of signals, data types, and sources
Lead analysis on content consumptions patterns & preferences using 1st party proprietary data to identify the variables that drive attention and propensity to engage.
Actively influence the Digital Brand, Editorial and Brand Design teams Learning Agendas focusing on applying advanced analytics and experimental design (A/B and multivariate testing) to answer strategic questions about consumer behaviour and engagement across Nike digital experiences and communication channels
Spearhead testing program for content, audience and channel optimizations in partnership with the Digital Brand, Editorial and Brand Design teams.
Integrate qualitative & quantitative findings to define complete profile of digital marketing effectiveness and consumer needs including Brand Strength Monitor and App Happiness results.
Partnering x-functionally to govern a centralized, flexible, cross-platform meta-data structure to power deeper consumer, content analysis & personalization.
Drive scalable and data-driven audience selection, targeting and segmentation strategies in partnership with key stakeholders
Manage Content Analysts including leading work prioritization and establishing processes for streamlined collaborations with digital engineering teams
QualificationsEducationBA/BS degree required; a focus in marketing, statistics, computer science, econometrics, applied math, or a quantitative behavioral sciences field preferred
Advanced degree is a plus, but not required
Experience7+ years experience in an applied analytics or quantitative digital research settings with a focus on content/communication channels
A background in content analytics, testing, or customer research in communications, ecommerce, retail, or digital products for targeted communications and consumer journeys.
RequiredA history of excellence and innovation in synthesizing complex findings, data visualization, storytelling, client presentations and partnerships
Ability to use analytics to understand digital consumer behaviour and identify opportunities to accelerate growth
A good understanding of applied statistics including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis, and data mining techniques
Ability to manage a portfolio of large analytics projects with multiple business stakeholders in a fast-moving, matrixed setting with ambiguous requirements
An insatiable curiosity for understanding the variables that drive digital content engagement and identify opportunities to accelerate growth
Track record of being resourceful, identifying creative solutions and discovering new data sets/methodologies to answer business questions
Knowledge of best practices & current trends in digital marketing communication and CRM strategy for retail, digital commerce, or mobile apps preferred
Go-getter with proven experience building diverse teams, positive working relationships and working successfully in cross-functional teams with varied levels of understanding of analytics
