Description
As the Senior Color Developer, you will be part of the Global Apparel Materials Color Development Team. You will use your strong leadership skills both to lead and mentor your color development peers and to drive key initiatives with your category partners. You will be responsible for more complex products and projects as requested by the Leadership team where you will use your training and relationship building skills. In this role you will also have the opportunity to interact with business teams involved in design, materials, product merchandising, product creation, material manufacturing and product integrity. You will partner with Category Teams and Color Design to execute their seasonal color direction. You will use your advanced color knowledge and collaboration skills to help execute design lead category color palettes and be responsible for on-time commercialization. You will help lead and implement the design and development of tools and processes to support color execution for Nike Apparel. You will facilitate and track lab dips for seasonal initiatives and identify and address key issues and challenges in color development. You will ensure on time development according to critical dates and gates. Color should be your passion!

Qualifications
! Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel/Textile design or a related field and a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
! 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
! Strong written and oral communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations
! Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity
! Understanding of the application of color on materials, including color fastness tests
! Knowledge of apparel and material construction, including garment construction
! Advanced knowledge of heather materials and techniques
! Knowledge of product creation process and the apparel business
! Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
! Strong information seeking-skills and a commitment to make things happen
! Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
! Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
! Ability to network and utilize internal and external resources
! Ability to understand the big picture related to Nike business processes and consumer needs
! Self-starter attitude and the ability to be a team player within a fast-paced team
! Proficiency with MS Excel and Adobe Illustrator
! Experience with InDesign or Photoshop is a plus
! 5-10% travel required
