Description
Our
Marketplace Development (MPD) team is dedicated to creating new retail
experiences for our consumers in a digitally-led world. We work with partners
to co-create innovative retail destinations, both online and in stores with our
partners.
We are
looking for a unique, passionate individual to join our team. You must be a self-starter,
flexible thinker, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable working
cross-functionally and influencing different personalities and perspectives.
You will need those skills as you work not only across our team, but also
across multiple functions, living within Nike's matrixed organization.
Responsibilities:
As
Marketplace Development Business Operations Director, you will lead our efforts
to standardize implementation of our new consumer experience programs in
partnership with Nike’s network of critical retail partners around the world.
 This role will lead our efforts in partnership with teams in
Nike Direct, Marketplace Development, Marketing, Membership and Sales to build
the engine to ensure our partner retail collaborations are repeatable and
adaptive. Additionally, you will work across our Marketplace Development
workstreams to define and develop a rigorous approach to analyze performance of
our key strategic initiatives and ensure investments are focused on highest
areas of return.  This is an enterprise
leadership role focused on leveraging Nike’s extended resources for
the benefits of our consumers and partners across the marketplace.  
 
Key responsibilities include:Develop
and implement a sustainable operating model to deliver Nike Network
Experiences with our prioritized retail partners around the world
Drive
a process to optimize our organizational model, processes and systems to
ensure repeatable delivery of experiences with the built-in ability to
iterate the executions
Create a portfolio performance and
knowledge management approach to ensure programs deliver against expected
outcomes and that we are capturing learnings to be shared across our teams
around the world
Drive Marketplace Development
financial planning and budget optimization efforts matched against our
performance expectations (consumer, partner, Nike). Bring a rigorous
perspective on financial success measures to our retail innovations
Deliver standards to geographies to
communicate how we will operationalize services, implement environment
standards and develop / deploy membership programs
Define
and implement a thorough approach to performance analysis of MPD
initiatives to ensure highest ROI.
Support
the day-to-day operations of the Global Marketplace Development
organization.
Drive
clear communication about high priority deliverables. 


Qualifications
6-8+ years retail operations
experience; strong retail analytical and business acumen
Strong
process/project management skills with an ability to develop action plans
(roadmaps), scorecards, monitor progress and elevate risks & issues
Demonstrated
ability to drive quantitative and qualitative analysis and analyze data to
tell consumer-led stories.
Exceptional
communication skills, including the ability to elicit information,
actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate
tense situations successfully and manage and resolve conflict
Must
excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate
with others
Proven
track record of being results oriented with demonstrated ability to
achieve aggressive goals
Expertise
in building global consensus across business partners and influencing
outcomes
Passion
for retail and business model innovation
Standout
"can do" attitude and enthusiasm to drive Nike forward
MBA or other graduate
degree preferred
