As
the Director of Carbon and Energy Solutions in Sustainable Manufacturing &
Sourcing, you will be accountable for leading
the development and execution of a clean energy strategy across Nike’s extended
manufacturing supply chain.  You will be
expected to leverage your extensive subject matter expertise and industry
experience to identify high value creating opportunities for Nike and its
supply partners.  You will collaborate
with internal leaders within manufacturing and across other functions to secure
alignment on strategic priorities. You will also look to engage and form
partnerships with external stakeholders to help remove barriers to improvement.
 
The SM&S Carbon & Energy team currently drives
work across a 5-year strategic deployment cycle with targets published
externally and a ten-year strategic plan linked to Nike’s 2030 science-based
carbon target.  The role is fast paced, highly
collaborative and operates within a dynamic work environment that demands
agility and flexibility.  To successfully
drive global results this Oregon-based role works hand-in-hand with
a Singapore-based deployment team who coordinates with supplier leads focused
on execution across key sourcing markets.  

Qualifications
!Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
!10+ years professional experience in business and sustainability
!Degree in engineering, energy, sustainability or environmental discipline, or experience in sustainability, energy and/or management consulting preferred
!Management-level strategic planning and performance management experience required (8+ years)
!At least 3 to 5 years of validated people and team management skills
!Strong business acumen and superior quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills
!Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex information in a simple, easily understood to diverse groups of stakeholders
!Validated ability to lead collaboration across diverse teams within a large organization and inspire confidence to motivate groups collectively to meet common objectives
!Proven ability to interact with all levels, partnering, facilitating, and influencing
!Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources
!High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint programs
!Ability to travel internationally approximately 30% of the time
