Reporting line: Reports to: Senior Director, Greater China Community Impact
We believe kids are Made to Play (MTP). Harnessing the power of sport as a unifying force, we're committed to helping kids reach their greatest potential and creating more equal playing fields for all.
As a Senior Manager, Community Impact, you’ll be a critical member of the Greater China Community Impact team with a central goal to unleash human potential through sport and physical activity.
You will partner with the Global Community Impact Team and Greater China geography teams to ensure Nike is a positive and impactful member of the community. Leveraging our Global and local resources and Nike’s ability to inspire, you’ll partner with Nike teams and external partners to get kids moving.
Summary of Main Responsibilities
* Manage MTP program partners from program design to execution to achieve program objectives
* Lead ECE (Employee Community Engagement) initiatives: align with global ECE team and China CI teammates to develop and drive initiatives suitable to China; manage all aspects of ECE work from strategy, planning, budgeting, to execution
Appendix: Brief Introduction of Greater China Community Impact key initiatives:
I. Active Schools:
* This is a long-term partnership between Nike and the Ministry of Education. It aims to transform sport experience in Chinese schools to provide fun and fundamentals of sport to Chinese kids and cultivate a life-long love for sports.
* Key elements of Active Schools include:
* in hundreds of schools in Beijing and Shanghai
* through PE teacher training and PE tools & curriculum development
* which aims to hero the PE teachers, amplify and encourage PE and sport innovation in schools across China
II. Employee Community Engagement:
Program examples include:
* Jordan WINGS Mentorship Program: an employee-led mentorship program to help high school students from under-developed areas in China
* Nike Community Ambassadors: train employees to become champions of sport in communities. Connect employees with volunteering opportunities
* Community Day program: provide Greater China teams the opportunity to serve our communities. Typically a full-day or half-day program.
* Give Your Best: a global platform to enable employees make contributions to causes that matter most to them
