WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
A Legal Counsel who is flexible, pragmatic, and solution driven. A person who combines legal expertise with business understanding and does so with the confidence to make informed decisions and assessments on legal risk in the best interests of the company.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will be responsible on a wide range of general corporate law and commercial legal work for NIKE’s business in South East Asia. In this role you will be reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements and documents relating to regulatory matters and transactions involving the company. You will advise and counsel NIKE business managers on legal matters which involve identification of legal issues, analysis of legal risks and creation and implementation of solutions structured to achieve business objectives efficiently with minimum legal and practical risk. Monitor and research (changes) in laws. Review and update legal precedents. Focus areas of law include corporate governance, general corporate / commercial/ business laws, consumer protection laws, anti-competition laws, trade laws and dispute resolution in each of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and certain other countries in the region.

As Nike Legal Counsel for South East Asia, you will be part of the Nike Legal team and report to the Legal Director SEA&I. You support and partner with other functions of the Nike CAO including brand protection, information security and ethics & compliance. You will need to advise, interface regularly and work closely with the relevant business teams and other support functions. The role is based in Singapore.
