Scope and Responsibilities

As the Director of Operations for the Nike India Development Center (IDC), you will be responsible to ensure that the center is set up for success with paced growth and smooth operations in alignment with the workforce strategy objectives of the Global Technology organization.

What we’re looking for:
* Oversee the ramp up and smooth operation of the IDC in partnership with HR, Finance, Procurement, Facilities, Legal, and other stakeholder organizations.
* Utilize prior Global Capability Center (GCC) ramp up experience to ensure that the center is growing at the right pace with foundational capabilities established to run the IDC.
* Partner with industry bodies like NASSCOM and others to promote the Nike IDC and understand industry developments/trends, macro-economic, and political risks.
* Network with leaders from other multi-national companies that have well established GCC’s to understand best practices and bring them to the IDC.
* Partner with HR to create and promote an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for Nike’s IDC. The EVP should ensure that Nike is positioned as an attractive employer that provides a top-notch employee experience with competitive employee benefits and perks
* Work with the Workforce Design and Connectivity (WD+C) team on forecasting and space planning for the center.
* Work with leaders in World Headquarters (WHQ) to understand demand for the IDC based work and fulfill staffing and supplier resource needs.
* Participate in governance meetings and drive actions on the ground necessary to ensure alignment with IDC guiding principles outlined in the workforce strategy
* Establish relationships with key IT Outsourcing (ITO) partners in India to ensure that the mix between sourced capabilities and IDC work is aligned. Drive SOW’s and contracts for IDC work that needs to leverage capabilities from the ITOs
* Create and run a set of operational rhythms with the right stakeholders in the IDC using a set of key performance indictors (KPI’s) that speak to the health of the IDC
* Conduct operational reviews on a regular basis and communicate the status of various work streams related to the ramp up and running of the IDC. Manage IDC operational tracks of work using project management rigor with regular communications
* Plan and host Nike leaders that visit the IDC with robust agendas to meet the objectives of their trips
* Own and drive employee engagement activities in the IDC to ensure a high degree of employee satisfaction and morale
* Own the operational budget for the IDC in partnership with Finance. Create the annual financial forecast and budget and champion the needs of the IDC with WHQ leaders and Finance.
