We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join the Nike Pacific Finance team; this is a 12-month fixed term contract and a perfect role for someone ready to take the next step in their career!
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information, monitoring and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and fulfilling statutory, tax and other legislative requirements.
You will have proven technical accounting skills, a strong problem-solving mindset, a proactive nature and exceptional business partnering skills. The role will be responsible for:
* Preparation of all SGA related accounting entries (Wages, Demand Creation and SGA);
* Preparation of periodic reconciliations of balance sheet accounts;
* Assisting with preparation of Australian and New Zealand tax returns and packs;
* Preparation of GST Indirect Tax Returns;
* Preparation of monthly Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation calculations;
* Compliance with all internal controls, including required SOX Controls processes;
* Business partnering cross-functionally (local and global) to ensure accurate delivery on reporting and analysis;
* Contributing to commentary on monthly results to local and regional management;
* Maintenance of Nike’s internal reports, ensuring integrity of data;
* Liaison point for Nike Systems (Reconciliation and Close Check List system, Concur and Document Management system)
